Carmen received her Ph.D. in Multi-Sector Communication from St. John's University. She has several years of experience in editing and teaching at the undergraduate level. Before St. John's University, she completed her undergraduate degree at The George Washington University and her master's at Fordham University, where she worked at WFUV, an NPR-affiliate. Her research interests include best sustainability methods in Spanish-speaking islands, how to foster empathy in society, and eating too much chocolate when stressed.
